Hi,
I just received a reply to an e-mail I had sent to an older friend in Japan, and would like to know if my reply is either too short, missing something, or if I should reply at all. If I know in Japanese, it is probably polite to say something in return though.
I think I’m being overly detailed, but I thought maybe I could learn something I didn’t know before. Anyways, here is the message:
Here’s the reply I thought I would send:
I also thought of saying, “It was nice to hear from you”, or something to that effect at the beginning.
What would be a good Japanese equivalent to that?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
