At the end of episode eight of Shogun, he makes a hand gesture.
The gesture consisted of his right hand at about chest level, palm flat and facing to the side (blade hand) with his thumb pointed forward.
What does this gesture signify? I cannot find any information about it.
There is also a poem I cannot find.
“The sound of rain falling on leaves can be heard…”
Does anyone know what this poem is or where I can find it? Is this a historical poem, or just made for the show?
