We plan on taking 40 6th graders on a canyoning tour on the Kurobe river. Has anyone done this before?! I’ve tried contacting the company (j-wet) to get more information about the level of difficulty, etc, but Im having a very hard time getting any sort of details. I’m just nervous about it maybe being too much for the kids to handle.

I am genuinely curious how you have managed to plan an event for a large group of fairly young students without actually checking whether it was a viable plan. That sort of boggles the mind.
The tour company’s website says that even absolute beginners can participate, so thankfully you will probably not need to inform parents that their children were lost in a random rafting accident.
(Edit: though I suppose it’s possible that you haven’t actually made solid plans yet? At any rate, probably worth visiting J-wet’s website.)
Are the kids Japanese speakers? that might be a factor I’m not sure
