My partner and I (both mid20s) will be visiting Japan from 20 May – 1 June 2024. We will be flying into Narita from Seoul and flying out from KIX back to the UK. We enjoy a mix of fast-paced and relaxed travelling.

We’ve both been to Japan before (not together and admittedly quite a while back, my last visit was 8 years ago. So quite a lot might have changed). We’re extremely excited and honestly cannot wait!

Day 1 Hotel: Tokyo
\- Arrived in Narita at 15:30, travel to Ueno on skyliner
\- Dinner in Ueno

Day 2 Hotel: Tokyo
\- Asakusa, Senso area in the morning
\- Sumo Basho in the afternoon

Day 3 Hotel: Tokyo
\- Meiji Jingu- Tokyo Tower (photos)
\- TeamLab Borderless: MORI Building (undecided if we want to go yet)/another attraction
\- Shinjuku/Shibuya for dinner and cocktail bar

Day 4 Hotel: Hiroshima
\- Ueno/Ameyoko
\- Koffee mameya kakeru
\- Shinkansen to Hiroshima
​
Day 5 Hotel: Hiroshima
\- Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park+Museum, A-Bomb Dome in the morning (maybe a quick look around the castle grounds, not fussed!)
\- Mazda Museum (14:00-16:30)
\- Hondori/Okonomimura

Day 6 Hotel: Hiroshima \[**Day trip to Fukuoka city\]**
*Would really love feedback and rec for this day or any nearby town around Hiroshima off the beaten track? We’ll be using Sanyo-San’In JR pass so will be able to use the Nozumi/fastest Shinkansen*
\- Arriving Hakata at 9am
\- Dazaifu half day
\- Ohori park
\- Tenjin area
\- Dinner at a Yatai near Tenjin

Day 7 Hotel: Hiroshima
**Day trip to Miyajima**

Day 8 stay in Kinosaki Onsen
*Will probably forward our luggage from Hiroshima to Osaka and only bring a backpack/carry on to Kinosaki*
\- Arriving Himeji at \~9:30
\- Castle + Kokoen
\- limited express to Kinosakionsen at \~13:30, arriving \~15:00

Day 9 Hotel: Osaka
\- leaving Kinosakionsen after lunch by the latest (depends on how much we still want to onsen…), arriving Osaka at \~1700
\- Dotonbori

Day 10 Hotel: Osaka
**Day trip to Nara**
\- Kaiyukan (If we come back early enough)

Day 11 Hotel: Osaka
\- Yamasaki distillery Tour
\- 6pm Hanshin Tigers baseball game at Koshien stadium

Day 12 Hotel: Rinku Town
\- Kuromon Inhiba market in the morning
\- Kaiyukan (if we couldn’t visit on day 10)
\- Final bit of shopping
\- travelling to airport hotel at Rinku town after dinner

Day 13 Flying out from KIX at 10:00
