Hello gang! Appreciate all the help and suggestions I’ve seen on this sub.
I have my honeymoon in Japan pretty much all planned with the exception of our day trip to Hakone from Tokyo. I am a tad overwhelmed by all the suggestions I’ve been reading, so I would appreciate constructive criticism towards our plan. I tend to overbook, so I am trying to avoid that!
We will be in Japan in early June and would like to visit Hakone on a Monday to avoid a huge crowd. We aren’t looking at staying overnight and want to have a relaxing time after the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.
We plan on waking up as early as possible to catch a train to Hakone, but the online timetable I found for the Romancecar is confusing. If anyone has advice on the best place to purchase the Romancecar, that’d be great!

* Catch an early morning Romancecar train from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto
* **Morning**
* Arrive at Hakone-Yumoto Station
* Purchase Hakone Free Passes
* Check out the Ropeway
* Check out Open Air Museum
* **Afternoon**
* Grab lunch
* Head over the Yunessun Spa
* I know people will probably say it’s not an authentic onsen but I want to be able to stay with my husband in the baths
* **Leave around 6pm to head back to Tokyo since everything will be closed by then**
