First of all sorry to bother with perhaps an obvious question but I could not find an easy answer by googling.
I have an offer to work in Japan as self employed for a company and I am trying to figure out if the salary is enough to support myself and my partner. I plan to file for a dependent visa for her on arrival and I was wondering if she won’t work for a year would we have to pay any taxes for her as well? If I understand correctly I can pay for the NHI for both myself and her as a household but do we still have to pay pension or any other kinds of tax? It would be very helpful to know how much extra the NHI would be for a dependent if anyone has any ideas.
