I don’t know anything specifically for kids. Maybe game gengo if the kid likes games? Japanese is pretty rough. I’d start by getting a kana workbook.
My 6 year old son has an italki tutor that he really likes! I’m not sure if it’s against the rules to share info on a specific teacher here, but go on italki and search specifically for teachers who work with kids. There are some that follow an actual curriculum. I’m sure you can find someone!
