I was feeling fomo for not factoring in Hiroshima or Miyajima island. I just had this idea and this reddit has been so helpful to me so far, so I figured I’d run it here!
I’ll be in Kyoto from May 7th —> May 10th then Osaka from May 10th —> May 14th. After Osaka I had back to Tokyo to finish my trip and watch a sumo tournament.
My idea is to go from Kyoto to Hiroshima instead, so from May 10th —> 11th (staying one night) I’ll be in Hiroshima then travel later in the day to Osaka. In this time I want to take a day trip to Miyajima island and also visit the museums of Hiroshima. I’m only one guy so I figured I can get through things quickly. Does this sound doable? Is Kyoto —> Hiroshima —> Osaka a typical route?

Update: thank you for your help everyone! I decided to shorten my Osaka trip so I could spend two days in Hiroshima after Kyoto. You folks are awesome 🙂
