I know that this is possible for foreigners that obtained Japanese citizenship, but what about those with Permanent residence status?
I ask because my mother is getting older and she has always loved Japan.
She visited Japan once when she was very young and has always wanted to visit again.
I have joked about having her come live here, but I have been wondering if that could be a possibility?
I doubt it, but I thought I would ask on here anyway.
