Hi all, I have a question re: final payment from my Japanese company.
I have now left my eikaiwa and put in a request that my final salary be paid within 7 days, which has been acknowledged by my former boss. However, the last day (of that 7 day period) will fall on a Sunday, so is it viable to presume that I will get paid on the Friday before? Or will they pay me on the Sunday? Or even the Monday after?
And hypothetically if they don’t pay me within the 7 day period, as per the labour standards act, what recourse would I have available?
