So our family will be traveling from Kyoto to Osaka (Namba station) with luggage on the train on 4/29. I’ve read that it doesn’t make sense and it’s more cost effective not to take the bullet train from Kyoto to Osaka and it doesn’t seem like that long of a train ride. It turns out it will be Golden Week (didn’t realize it when we booked tickets). What is the best time to take the train from Kyoto to Osaka during Golden week to avoid the crowd, like super early in the morning? Or will it be not too crowded if we took the train around 2-3pm? I have no idea what to expect from Golden week. I understand it will be crowded so I’m trying to avoid the busier time since we will have luggage and we probably won’t get seats on the train (I’m assuming it’s going to be really crowded but I don’t really know). We can’t check into our airbnb till 4pm, but if we had to leave early to avoid the crowds, I figured we can store our luggage at the train station. TIA!
