Where are some good places to buy Japanese knives, not expensive, not famous brand or top quality. Just want to get some affordable ones to try them out and see how they are before getting higher quality knives.
I don’t want to buy a 30,000 or 50,000 yen Japanese knife and ruin as it will be my first experience. Looking to start with something more affordable so any mistakes will be with that knife before moving to a higher quality.
Looking for a traditional Japanese knife as always hearing they are good knives and better than the cheap western style ones at Seiyu and Aeon.
Looking to spend about 20,000 yen on one or two knives. I mainly cut vegetables like potatoes carrots onions lettuce and cabbage, chicken, pork, bread and tofu.
Looking for one knife or a pair of knives that could handle these things for cutting.
