Hello all! I am planning my Japan trip for June this year and have come across the Suica welcome passes for tourists which would end up being cheaper and easier than the JR passes due to the recent price increases and the fact that we would be using some buses not covered by JR.
My main concern is travelling between cities, I have seen similar posts to this already but I’m still really confused so please bare with me!!
I am going from Tokyo station to gotemba station around Mt Fuji region which is cheaper and quicker by bus even with a change over, but the Suica cards can only be used within the same region so how would I go about tapping on in Tokyo and off at the change over point which I’m certain is within the mt Fuji area. I will try include the option + any other options maps have given me for the journey in the comments 🙂 Any suggestions/tips/advice would be greatly appreciated! Between other cities we will use the Shinkansen which I believe is a different ticket anyway?? So those should be no issue!
