So I went to a nearby tempura place I didn’t go to before, yesterday. After glancing at their menu I ordered a set meal labelled 特 (1000Â¥) and a beer which wasn’t on the menu, so I didn’t check the price. The bill came out to (1350Â¥) and I didn’t question it.
I return today and the owner says he forgot to charge me for the beer yesterday (turns out it was 440), but I didn’t owe anything because he said it was their mistake. Confused I look at the menu and turns out they have another set labelled 特 which costs 1350 but has some extra stuff which I realized is what I actually ate yesterday. I take out my wallet and say I’ll pay, which he profusely declines. After I eat I again say I’ll pay, but he declines and says I can just return to eat there again.
I genuinely want to pay since I was careless and didn’t check the bill either. Really really nice people, should I have pushed more to pay? My social anxiety just made me give up after the second time
