Hi there, I will be heading to Japan this summer and I am trying to sort out how I will pay for things there. I already have about 70,000 yen in cash, but if I need more, I want to use my Discover credit card because there are no international transaction fees. Is this a safe bet to use my Discover card in most places? I will mostly be in metropolitan areas. I do have a visa card, and a mastercard too, but both of those have transaction fees.
