I am staying in Hiroshima for one night later in April and am very keen to go to Miyajima. We will be travelling from Osaka > Hiroshima and staying at the Hilton one night before going to Tokyo, all by Shinkansen.
Would it make sense to go Osaka > Hiroshima (doubt we would arrive much before midday) then catch the train and ferry to Miyajima or get up early the following morning and head there before returning to Hiroshima and getting a mid afternoon train to Tokyo?
I have looked at timetables etc I am asking more of what is the best time to view the island etc.
