So… I transferred around 300k yen from my overseas bank account to my Sony Bank (myself to myself, both under the same name) for personal expenses. Sony Bank sent me an email and asked me to “receive” the remittance, but it would take them around 2-5 days to “verify” the remittance.
I don’t get why they need so long to verify it? This isn’t the first time I transfer my own personal expense from overseas bank to Sony Bank and it has always been smooth, they never asked me to “receive” it etc, and I would receive it in just one day. Though I gotta admit that this is the highest amount so far (normally I would just send around 100-200k yen)
Does anyone have experience regarding this “verification” thing? should I be worried that they might reject the remittance and the money would bounce bank to my overseas bank?
