Hi all, 1st time Japan traveler so pardon my question which might have come up too often. i’m traveling to Japan, specifically Osaka Kyoto and Tokyo next week (in that order, with 2-2-7 days dedicated respectively). places steeped in historical/cultural significance are always right up my alley, but sadly shrines dont really intrigue me that much so i’m canvassing for off-the-beaten-track recos up here 🙂
would be great if yall can recommend places (aside from major museums) that can lend me glimpses into the history (through different phases even better) of this country. i love reading museum labels and stuffs so places that have English descriptive labels/materials or the likes would be fantastic.
