Hi everyone,
This is not a complaint post but just out of curiosity.
I find it very confusing when I see labels on oils (such as olive oil, sesame oil) stating the amount in grams instead of liters/mL.
Example: 455g label on olive oil (one can guess it may be 500 mL)
Is there a specific reason for this in Japan? What do you guys think?
I don’t mind it much but just feel confused each time. I thought it is a word-wide accepted standard to state the liquids by volume (such as liter) instead of weight.
