Obviously there is a stacked line up of challengers for Mox, but I’m sure we’re all waiting for when Yamo stakes his rightful claim to the Throne and challenges Moxley for the IWGP WHC.
Gedo has been planning this since 2019. It’s all clear as day if you look through how both men have been booked.
Moxley had to spend the last 5 years running through dudes, winning the AEW title etc, in order for anyone to believe he stands a chance against Yano.
I’ve fantasy booked something similiar in AEW, but I think you could book Mox through a few defenses where he is challenged but always comes out on top. He gets fed up and calls out the New Japan locker room for being weak and depleted. He says that this title used to mean something, the best in the world used to compete for the top title in New Japan, but no longer. He is about to close by saying nobody is ready to truly challenge him, then BOOM Yano’s music hits. Mox stares helplessly into the lights, fear gripping his face as Yano appears before a roaring crowd to challenge Mox for the IWGP WHC at the Tokyodome
