We are arriving in Tokyo on 04/25 (noon) and will be staying in Shinjuku. We just noticed that our trip will be overlapping with Golden Week. Our tickets are not refundable and we wanted to seek some advice on how to improve our itinerary and get the most out of our trip 🙂

04/25 – arrive in Tokyo – walk around Shinjuku
04/26 – Shibuya Sky (booked), Shibuya, Yoyogi Park, Meiji Shrine, Harajuku
04/27 – Mt. Fuji (?)
04/28 – Senso-ji/Asakusa, Skytree, Ueno Park, Ginza
04/29 – Imperial Garden, Akihabara, Tokyo Tower
04/30 – DisneySea (booked, unfortunately)
05/01 – 05/03 – living in Kyoto
We haven’t decided on the exact itinerary in Kyoto since we heard it’s going to be really bad and crowded during that period. Are there alternative cities that we can go to or on which date should we visit the popular Kyoto sites (temples and shrines)?
