I am considering purchasing a property / place in the outskirts of Tokyo as my family plan regular trips there yearly.
The cost for 4 to 6 people in a hotel for 2 weeks biyearly seems to amount upto me renting a place for a year lol. We plan to go over more often should a home be available to us.
We stayed in a rented apartment before for a short period and found that a homely environment was more comfortable than in a hotel even though i typically book a small suite.
But the place will be vacant for maybe 2 to 3 months which i read that we should appoint a property manager to air and clear the mailbox.
Does anyone have advice on a Landed or Condo type apartment? Would the PM be able to rent it out when vacant? ( I plan to have my stuff there so it may not be ideal… ) Can i allow my friends/relatives stay there for owned apartments?
I understand that the purchase will be made in cash, but how do i transfer 20-50 million yen without the possibility of a bank account? And make monthly misc payments?
Can a non-citizen but with a residential address sign up for mobile, fibre and etc?
What are the best options if I would be there every 2 to 3 months and in the vacant periods someone else maybe utilizing it. Maybe a relative or close friend on a holiday? I will also have my belongings there.
