Hey guys! So i’m going in December and we have 4 days in Kyoto. Looking for advice. This is my itinerary right now:
1. arrive in Kyoto towards the evening, have dinner, get settled at hotel. (We’re right near Gion and Pontocho Alley, so we can do some exploring here.)
2. wake up early and hike Fushimi Inari shrine. Then head to Kiyomizu-dera and Higashiyama
3. Arashiyama, rent bikes and go temple hopping up to Nenbutsu-ji
4. Nara, see the deer & temples
5. Osaka, Katsuoji, Dotonbori
My question is, should I scrap the Nara trip and just enjoy an extra day in Kyoto? Is 2 days enough to make the most of Kyoto, or should I spend that 3rd day there too?
