Hi all. I am planning a trip to Japan in early June. Not every day of our itinerary is loaded with things to do. With that being said I am a major basketball fan and some of my best experiences while traveling have been finding/playing on local courts and meeting new people. Is basketball popular in Tokyo and are their parks etc where one can find people playing and join? I know this is an odd question but I feel like it would be a great way to feel like less of a tourist. I would be open to pickup volleyball as well. Also curious if there are any school festival type events going on in Tokyo in the first two weeks of June. As a student myself, I am curious to see a glimpse of Japanese student life.
