Should I Teach English In Japan ?

I am currently 19 years old and I am studying in something I am not that passionate about. For the last 8 months I’ve been considering living in Japan. I am a simple man who doesn’t need alot of money to be happy.

Here is my current plan :

I was thinking of finishing my bachelor degree first. Then visit Japan for a month or two to see what it’s like. After that I’ll probably do a course like TEFL to learn how to teach english to others and apply for the Jet program.

I’ve been learning japanese for 8 months and will continue doing an hour a day for the next 2 years before I travel that way I can communicate.

I am not saying I will permantly move to Japan just yet since I haven’t stepped foot in the country yet, but I am curious to hear if it is a good idea to go and teach english for a few years.

Also, what is the best way to get out of english teaching if I end up wanting to live there longer than the 5 years that is allowed on Jet.

This is all in a little while, so some stuff are bound to change, Even so, please let me know what I forgot and what you think
