So I’m sort of working out a rough itinerary.
During the trip we’ll be collecting Goushincho seals and train station stamps and see who has the most at the end for a small prize. 🙂
VESSEL INN ASAKUSA TSUKUBA EXPRESS
Day .01 Arrive in Tokyo, get to hotel in Asakusa.
Day 2. Rest, wander local area for food and light shopping. Electric bike ride thru town at lunch
Historial bike tour Tokyo Station, Akihabara, Imperial palace and some off the beaten trail paths. (tour with group)
Day 3. Space boat ride evening. Sensoji shrine after for night photography
Day 4. guitar street, tsukiji market, shibuya crossing, hachiko statue
Day 5. Nippori fabric district.
Day 6. —free day——— see local friends friends? (parents fend for themselves day)
Fukuoka:-arrival
Day 1. Arrival, rest, light shopping, nanzoin temple
Day 2. Onsen day Hakata onsen
Day 3. Japanese garden
Scenic train ride
5 DAYS
Kyoto:
Day 1. Travel day, relax, explore local area Arashiyama bamboo forest, Awaramochi sweets spot
Day 2. Kyomizu, kinkakuji golden pavilion, philosophers path
Day 3. Nara? Todaiji big buddha place, fushimi inari
Day 4. Osaka day trip
Day 5. Tea ceremony
(14 days so far….)
15-17th head back to Tokyo maybe, stay in different area. Leave on 18th.
I am kind of in charge of our travel and where we stay. Is there anything that should be added that I’m missing? Or orders changed? Fukuoka is new to me. I wanted one new to me prefecture on this trip. We’d like to do a scenic train ride if anyone has suggestions for one.
I have a question about tattoos…I have a arm wrap tattoo of a cherry blossom on my left arm. I hear donki sells covers you can use for it…if I cover it, will the onsen care if I have a tattoo? It’s coverable, it’s just on my forearm.
