Medical Leave due to Cancer

Hi,

Due to taking treatment of Cancer, my company has put me in medical leave. Because of the chemotherapy side effects, I can’t work prperly. So insurance is paying me salary.

But what happens to my tax? I guess income tax is 0 as long as I am on medical leave as I am not receiving any salary from my company.

Questions:
– Do I need to inform ward office about my current situation for residence tax?
– Any tips/advice for me to be administrative hassle free in future regarding medical leave?

Thanks!
