Question about Goshuincho page dividers

Hi all! Quick question. Most temples / shrines put a thin piece of paper in the goshuincho, after drawing the Goshuin, to avoid it staining the other page while the ink is not dry.

I’ve returned home from my trip to Japan for about a week, and some Goshuin from the beginning of the trip are now a month old. It seems dry, but if I touch the ink with just a bit of pressure, it stains my finger a little bit. I’m guessing they may leave a mark in the opposite page if I remove the paper divider.

Do I have to keep the paper dividers inside my Goshuincho forever?
