Starting to panic, hope anyone here can help.
On March 23rd I ordered a plane ticket from some third party reseller (I don’t have much experience travelling, and I realized this was a huge mistake) for ¥19,0000 or approximately $1300. It got cancelled immediately after I ordered it because of “technical glitches or seat availability”. They sent an email saying my refund is processing on the same day I ordered it. However it’s been almost a week, and when I ask for an update they only reply with “your refund is processing”. I’ve read some reviews of the company online, and I’ve realized only after I bought it that it’s some sketchy company based in Indonesia. Apparently some people never got their refund, which is really stressing me out. I tried calling my bank and the debit card company, and all I’m getting told is that they didn’t receive any information about the company issuing a refund and telling me to wait.
I know all I can do at this point is to wait another week or so and call the bank again, but I’d really like some advice to at least calm me down. I’ve seen people online saying the money is as good as gone if it’s a third party reseller.
