How do you work through the Kanzen Master books?

A friend of min recommended that I buy the Kanzen Mastae series to help prepare myself for the JLPT but I don’t know how they’re supposed to be used.

Just a little background on myself. Ive been studying Japanese for almost 3 years now through immersion and comprehensible input. I have 12,564 words in Anki have already encountered most of the N2 grammar points in the book already in my 2300 hours of immersion. However, I suck at feeling out nuances and memorising key information, and understanding grammar explanations (e.g why x is used over y and etc), so I thought I would try and go though these book but I am at a complete loss. What do you do? Go through through each page and right notes or something? How do you memorise explanations for the grammar or internalise the nuances between similar expressions? Do you make anki cards for each grammar? How often do you review? How long are you supposed to spend on each chapter?

To those of you who have passed N1 and N2, could you possibly give me a detailed breakdown of your routine. Organised Textbook study has never been one of my strengths
