So I am going back to Japan this year at Christmas for 3 weeks Dec 19th to Jan 10th. I am thinking of doing a week in the far south, a week in the Far north and a week in Tokyo and renting a car to drive around the local towns and such. Someone else has suggested taking a car from the south to the north but I worry this is to much driving and I won’t be able to rent a car in one place and drop it in another. Any advice or recommendation would be helpful.
