Hello everyone!
Gonna be an exchange student at Sophia this autumn semester. Since all the housing options from the university kinda sucked I thought I am gonna look for a place myself.
I was in Japan last summer and honestly loved Shibuya, Shinjuku Areas. Is it a good idea to stay there or am i missing something? I know its kinda loud and “dirtier” than some other parts of tokyo but I am from a small town in the mountains and love this Big city feeling around me.
Are there any other areas i should check out? Not sure if I should go back to these places if I’ve been there before or check out something else that I might miss.
I looked at a few share houses already on different websites but some of the prices are a lil crazy. I would like to keep all costs around 60,000 to 80,000 (preferrably cheaper)

Is there anything else I’m missing while looking for a share house? Any red flags that i need to look out for? Also open for any other suggestions you might have.
