Hey all,
My itinerary for our October Japan trip is very much in it’s infancy, but it’s mine and my husband’s first trip to Japan and we have a rough outline of where we want to go. We’re there for 17 days, and currently looks like:
– Tokyo (5 days)
– Osaka (3 days or combine with Kyoto for 6)
– Kyoto (3 days or combine with Osaka for 6)
– Tokyo (2 days)
This leaves us with around 3 days (or could stretch more at the expense of another city) to spend somewhere else. Conscious that the places we are already staying at can be touristy / crowded, so thinking somewhere possibly more rural? We tend to prefer traditional / scenic and peaceful activities such as hiking rather than busy street bars.
The Kyoto/Osaka days will include day trips (e.g. Nara).
Itinerary is still pretty flexible (our only anchor is that we must start and finish in Tokyo due to the flights). Does anyone have any suggestions?
We will be travelling around by train. Briefly looked into Fujikawaguchiko but I imagine the journey there might be challenging with all our luggage.
