I have been in Japan for 5 years. 4 years as a university student and 1 year as a full time employee as a software engineer.
I have heard and read on reddit about 5 year/10 year requirements and point systems
Does 5 years requirement mean living in japan for 5 years or working for 5 years ?
I also heard that for 5 year requirement only highly skilled people are eligible
I have “Engineer/Specialist in Humanities/Int’ Services’ status in my 5 year residence card, am I eligible or not ?
I have JLTP N2
I never had any issue with credit card, rent or tax, speeding.
