We took the train from Shinjuku to kawaguchiko. We scanned our suica cards to get into the station. Then we paid for the ticket for the 2 hour train ride since it was a different company and separate tickets were required. After getting off, we got billed 2800 more yen to our suica cards when scanning to get out of the station. So it was like 7000 yen each to go from Shinjuku to kawaguchiko which doesn’t feel right.
