My husband, son (will be 6.5yo at the time) and I will be traveling to Japan next April/May of 2025…our dates are flexible.
I’m hoping to have a schedule that will let us be leisurely but not feel wasted. My son is on the introverted side and does well when we have downtime at the hotel. I’m willing to pay for taxis to make the days more efficient if needed. A really busy day here or there is fine.
My husband loves art, is an adventurous eater and loves to be busy (he usually does things on his own while my son and I relax). My son is into science, animals and pokemon. I’m excited to see the culture and most looking forward to Kyoto and Okinawa (I was born there). My parents will be joining us in Okinawa and that is the main point of the trip.
I feel like my first draft is too packed, but it’s so hard to tell? Is there anything we should add or take off? The schedule is loose and I will play around with the days once I actually buy tickets to ensure the places are open etc.
