We are a little confused. Our construction company agent first asked to register our new property using our current address in Tokyo. After my wife had already collected all the documents and paid for them, she later received an email asking for us to change our address to the new house one and go and collect new documents.
We were wondering though if that is a good idea: as if we change our residence early prior to moving in ( the new house is not liveable yet, it will be ready in mid-June)- will that affect our property tax bill next year? Is it necessary to change our address prior to moving in?
