I am not planning on applying for the JET Programme for a while because I need to start and complete a BA; however, I have a question that will hopefully alleviate my concerns.
I know plenty of people from Australia get accepted as ALTs, but has anyone from Tasmania been accepted recently and if so, how was your experience? I am worried that being from a small, often seemingly forgettable state will affect my chances of getting in. I am sure where you come from has no real impact on whether or not you are accepted, but from my experience living here all my life, it feels like a lot of opportunities are closed to us.
