My answer is simple: Yuya Uemura.
Consider it: He’s the next gen guy who’s wowed me the least. Why? Well, in singles he’s only really worked Tsuji, an equal also finding his footing and Shingo, who I’m not crazy about. He hasn’t had a chance to show himself or prove himself since he came back so late. And as far as next generation faces go? He’s second behind Umino and should be in mortal fear of Oiwa returning from excursions and putting poor Yuya in third.
So give him the workhorse belt! The TV belt is defended on average a shit ton of times a year. A shit ton of matches give Yuya miles, experience, a chance to show off *who* is Yuya Uemura? And a chance for him to learn sick tricks and show his sick tricks while he does it.
