What’s everyone’s favourite shōka (ballades made between Taishō and Shōwa periods commonly taught in schools)? Mine is definitely «Song of the Seashore | 浜辺の歌(Hamabe no Uta)» but I also like Rentarō Taki’s «花 (Hana)». They’re beautiful but I feel they’re not that well-known outside Japan/Asia.

I joined in on the actual parade with my company, walking through Shibuya, but I was somewhat disappointed. There was no energy in it and we weren’t allowed any music so it was just a bunch of people walking on the road silently waving flags after having waited 1h in a waiting hall.
Perhaps the actual start of the parade had more sparks and energy though.

Where are the angry people, I want to laugh
I don’t go to lgbt parades and would never ever do so but its time for Japan to officialize and enact same sex marriage into law. People are being denied housing for being gay and discrimination is rampant. Same sex people are not considered married which gives these renters a reason to deny housing
