I have a revolut card which holds yen. If I were to open a bank account with Japan Post Bank, would the bank have any fees for me transferring this money into my account with them? Because although the money is in yen, the revolut card is technically a foreign card I believe (purchased in the UK).

You get 5–15 (depending on your plan) free furikomi transfers per month, and after those are up, a fee of 2% transfer is charged.

As its a foreign card, only charges will be on Revolut side. If JP post charges to receive an international transaction then you get charged there too but that would be unlikely. As long as you send in Yen.
Make sure its a SWIFT transfer. Getting the SWIFT information from the bank.
However ask yourself y much you want to transfer and how fast it needs to be done. I am a massive Revolut user since 2016 from UK and used it since i came to Japan way more.
You can withdraw cash up to about 30k yen a month free(on free plan)and then just deposit to JP post. Its 1.5% a month for cash over that on free plan.
However one tip: Mastercard is better in Japan for Revolut. At 7-11 there is no charge at all.
Revolut replaced my card with a Visa instead and i started getting charged at 7-11 ATM. I told them this and they sent me a new Mastercard. You cant actually pick Mastercard when ordering anymore so you need to explain and ask their support for it.
Why not do it as a bank transfer from within the Revolut app rather than transfering with a card. Revolut gives you a virtual account with, I believe JP Morgan, in Japan so the transfer is domestic. Just beware that there are limitations on the source of income for transfers. You can’t top up Revolut with a credit card, then transfer cash to your bank.
Ideally check if you can create a second Japanese account. The Japanese version let you transfer to Japanese banks for free. Asking a friend with a Japanese Revolut account is also an option
Pulling cash from the ATM should not incur any fee, then you deposit it into your JP Post account.
