So I’m a criminal with numerous felonies under my belt. I’m writing this from the prepaid phone I bought in my cell with commissary as you read this /s
*\*Story time. Go to the bottom for the important question\**
I was accepted to do Early Departure about 5 days ago, and my interview is scheduled for February 1st. It got me shook since I scheduled a doctor’s appointment with my primary caregiver for Feb 29 maybe a month ago. Luckily, I found a singular timeslot amongst many March appointments: Jan 15 (yesterday, thank you MLK). The issue was when I got there, the doctor was actually a Nurse Practitioner so she could not assess me nor sign the Certificate as they require a physician with an ADO or MD (near the bottom of the document, in faded grey lettering, it says this).
I’m feeling a bit dumb since reading is fundamental, and I didn’t see that. Plus she was the only early slot according to the portal for scheduling. Luckily I was directed to the front desk for help, so I let them know, showing them the document. They were able to schedule me to another doctor at a different place, but same day to do this. Nice, it happens to be my primary caregiver who didn’t have any slots open earlier. I travel there with no issue despite the insane coldness outside and get called into the room.
You ever seen those videos where the doctor knocks, walks in, and tells you some BS while smiling, then walks back out wishing you a nice day? That’s basically what happened, as this dude turned out to be a Physician’s Assistant (PA). I’m over here wondering if it’s because I missed my annual that’s doing this to me, but snap out of it and ask them what can be done, since I have 2 weeks or less to make the impossible, possible. So now, as of this afternoon, I’ll be seeing yet another doctor (with an actual MD, I checked) to get this filled out. More doctors in the past 2 days than in the last year, I tell ya.

As I reread the Certificate of Health, I realize something fun: I need some x-rays and a tuberculosis test done. **Has anyone been able to do all their exams in one day?** I’m worried that this will not be as simple as I wish, and with the heavy snow dumped on my city…
In any case, I hope to see everyone on the other side. Stay tuned for how I try to get my FBI fingerprints (hint: I already goofed by walking into the DMV and wasted time there)
Edit: looks like I got this squared away. Hopefully the person i emailed it to likes what i sent. Now to do my fbi prints…
