Working a Remote Side Job and Taxes

Hello!

So I have been accepted for a remote position in the U.S. that would start come August and my current employer has already agreed to help file the Permission to Engage in Activity Other than Permitted (also have consulted an immigration lawyer – so on the visa end it’s all good)

My question comes more so with taxes. I’ve searched around and nothing clear has seem to come up. Am I liable to pay both the U.S. and Japans? Would I file and pay them all together as a lump sum? How would one get the proper form made coming if an employer doesn’t creat a 支払調書
or Japanese-style document (e.g. would a 1099 need to have an official translation?)

Thanks for the responses in advance, and if there are any links it is much appreciated.
