Retro/y2k Tokyo vibes

I’ve been living in Tokyo for almost 3 years now, and I’m kind of bored. I don’t think I’m jaded, it’s just that I work full time and I’m usually too tired on the weekends to “explore” new places. I have really fond memories of late 90’s early 2000’s media coming from Japan like skate videos, Fruits magazine, more offbeat anime and movies, and Shibuya-kei music. I know the places they came from still exist, but the overall feeling of places like Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, Akihabara, etc. feel too blown out. Does anyone have any recommendations of places with unique character in Tokyo, no matter how small or niche they may be? Things that are a little rough around the edges, maybe even a little grungy. I want to find that same inspiration that drew me to Japan when I was younger. Maybe this is also just me trying to wrap my head around being depressed living in a place I used to enjoy so much.
