I am knew on this community so please be kind to me if ask questions that have already been asked.
I (f29) went to apply for a holiday visa but the lady at the ambassy told me my itinerary wasn’t good enough and aske me to take another appointment. I have up till may 22 to prepare my new itinerary.
I have enough money that I don’t necessarily need to work once I am there. I am an undergraduate in Japanese studies and I just wanted to experience the Japanese way of life and I improve my language skills. initially planned to stay in Osaka for 10 month because my japanese pen pal of 3 years live in Osaka. It’s a lovely obachan who sees me as the daughter she never had. I also added some trips I wanted to do in Hokkaido for the snow festival or The yukata festival in Hiroshima in June for exemple.
From what the lady at the ambassy told me, there isn’t enough tourism in my itinerary. I’ve read somewhere you shouldn’t plan to more than 3 months in one place if you want to get your visa.
So my question is, do you have suggestions or advice on how I could make my itinerary more “touristy”. Place to travel to, what to do and how long to stay there ?
Also for those of you who got there working hollydays visa, what did you put in your itinerary ?
