During the hot summer/cold winter months, we close our doors(cuz of aircon) but our cat is constantly roaming the house and asking us to open the door for him. Has anyone done this before? How much would it cost to hire a contractor? Or buying a new door a better option?

We leave the door cracked open with door stops and hang a heavy curtain in the frame. It works very well.
We’re very Permanent Change adverse though.
