10 Day Itinerary Check

Doing a group trip with 7 people (including me) and wanted another pair of eyes to look over this itinerary. I also have some questions that I’ll put below the whole text wall in bullet points.

I have planned times for some of the things, but we’re not really particular about the time, as long as we hit one of the things we want to see for that day.

Jet lag won’t be an issue since I’ll be visiting the asian countries for a week before I go to japan.

**Day 1:**

Land at Haneda

If available , then I’ll get an E-sim before I get there (Ubigi probably)

Get some cash (yen) maybe 30000

Suica card

Taxi to lodgings.

**Day 2:**

8:00AM: Meet in the foyer or lobby. Then head to Tsukiji fish market for breakfast.

9:30AM: Head over to Ginza Itoya to look at stationery (15 minute walk).

10:30AM: Take the bus to Shibuya City.

Places of interest:

This is just a do whatever you want time, no specific plans, not going to travel as a huge group if I can help it.

* Loft (stationery, seasonal souvenirs, variety goods, health and beauty products, and other Japanese items.).
* Mega Don Quijote
* Hands (Tool store)
* Miyashita Park
* Shibuya Sky (open air observation deck with a good view of Tokyo)
* Hachiko statue

1:30PM: Lunch, I’m thinking of going to a McDonald’s since I heard the fast food in Japan are next level.

Some more exploring or shopping in between.

5:00PM: Leave for Osaka

**Day 3: Osaka**

Osaka Castle

Dotonbori

Denden Town

**Day 4: Osaka**

Nambu Park

Shinsekai area

**Day 5: Osaka**

Osaka Aquarium

Ferris Wheel ride

**Day 6:**

7:00 – 9:00AM: Leave for Kyoto early (earlier if we want to see Fushimi Inari with less crowds)

Kinkakuji

Arashiyama bamboo forest

Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine at night since lodging is close by. (if we don’t visit in the morning, but personally, I want to hike up the mountain at night.)

**Day 7:**

Kiyomizu dera

1:00PM: Leave a little early to go back Tokyo and then loop back around to Fujiyoshida.

**Day 8: Fujiyoshida**

7:00 – 8:00PM: Get to Fujiyoshida area

**Day 9: Fujiyoshida > Tokyo**

Take some Fuji pics if possible

An onsen if there is one nearby

Maybe some other attractions if we have time.

Head back to Tokyo

**Day 10: Tokyo**

Cup Noodle Museum

Team Labs borderless/planet (Maybe both? on separate days?)

**Day 11 Tokyo**

Akihabara

Senso-ji

**Day 12 Going Home**

Leaving flying home early morning.

Questions I have:

1. Between lunch and leaving for Osaka on day 1, we have a couple hours to kill, anything fun in the Shibuya area to fill the gap?

2. Is there anything to do in Fujiyoshida? we decided to stay somewhere around there so we could be close to Mt.Fuji. Is there anything nearby that makes for a good day trip? Hakone maybe? Transit in this area wasn’t as frequent, so that’s why we have nothing particularly planned for those days.

3. Anything else I’m missing on this list that would be a must see for most people?

4. What are some items you like to buy while in Japan? I heard nail clippers are good, so I was going to get a pair and see if they measure up to the hype.

I also have a friend that likes whisky and gin, are there any brands that you like that is only available in Japan?

5. This is a niche question, but I’m into micro fishing and I’m on the hunt for some more micro hooks to stock up on. Do fishing supply stores commonly carry these hooks? or are they a niche even in the Japanese fishing community? (Looking for any of these hooks specifically: Owner New Half Moons, Owner Smallest, Gamakatsu New Half Moon, Gamakatsu Ultimate)

6. Anything to fill up the last couple days in Tokyo? I think the schedule is about filled up, but I’d like to keep the schedule open in case people want to do their own thing in Tokyo for the couple days before leaving.

Thanks for reading, any tips or advice are appreciated.
