Hello, everyone. I’m thinking of traveling to Japan for the first time in June and after reading some of the posts here and combing through Google Maps I managed to make a draft of an itinerary. I wrote 13 days because I included the fact that I’d probably lose two days for arrival and departure as I’m flying from Sarajevo where I’m from. There are no direct flights so the shortest time including stops I could find is around 20 hours. I’m 30F and I’ll be traveling solo.

My plan is to travel to Osaka on Day 7 early in the morning using the shinkansen and Kyoto, Nara, Hiroshima would be all day trips. From what I saw online it’s feasible to do Kyoto, Nara and Hiroshima and return to Osaka in the evening, but if it’s not let me know. I was also thinking of returning to Tokyo for departure but maybe it would be better to get home from Osaka, as there are flights to Istanbul (one of the possible stops for my flight) through the Kansai airport. My plan is to arrive at Haneda airport and take the bus in the city, and then use the luggage delivery in between Tokyo and Osaka, although it does make me a bit apprehensive. Also I have a question, when I was in London I depended on the Citymapper app and it was great, but I hardly see anyone mention it here. Does it work well in Japan?
