I’m currently in an undergraduate research program in the States. I plan to move to Japan next year. Initially, I considered doing the English teaching route, but I’d prefer a better long-term game plan. Can you have a decent life as a researcher in Japan? Is the funding available, and in what areas? How is the culture? Is there anything else that is helpful for me to consider? Thanks for the thoughts.
