Hello! I moved to Japan 20 days ago, and I rent a room in a sharehouse with this real state agency named GG House Management.
In the interview they told me to pay 30.000 yen for the first month (April) and starting May, I have until the 20th of every month to pay the rent. I specifically asked if April was payed, now I have to wait until May to pay may rent, and they told me that was correct.
Today GG House Management contact me telling me I have to pay may rent and I was out of date to pay, since I should have pay before 20 of April. And they want me to pay with interest for every day since April 20 to the day y pay May.
Is this normal? Did they not understand my question in the day of the interview? I was really clear when I ask it, there were other people around me in that moment and everyone agrees that they responded my question really clearly, it didn’t see like they didn’t understand.
Or maybe it’s a cheap trick to gain some money? Anyone knows of something similar?
